Katie Todd
Katie Todd Lauded by itunes.com as having
one of the top buzz bands in the country, Katie Todd claimed a spot as the website’s artist of the week, earning over
300,000 downloads for the single, “Face Down.” Katie has shared the stage with Jewel, Kenny Loggins, The
Wallflowers and Pete Yorn to name a few, and has performed in front of packed audiences at venues and festivals such as House
Of Blues and Lollapalooza. Many of her songs have been featured in films. “Leave” in “Chasing
The Green,” starring Jeremy London, “The Polite” in the “The Mini,” and “In And Around”
in “Other People’s Parties,” a Sundance finalist. This song was also picked by National Geographic
to be the theme song for their “Go Green” campaign.
On her new release, “Mumbled Speech,”
Katie demonstrates gentle strength and versatility. She captures beautiful moments through raw, emotion-filled lyrics
and melodies that are both catchy and haunting. It’s no wonder why Chicago Arts & Entertainment magazine calls
Katie “a breath of fresh air that the Chicago music scene has been waiting for…” and Singer Magazine says,
“Her unique voice is enchanting and her musical style is captivating; there is a welcome depth to the songs, and a heartfelt
message intertwined with her talented handling of the piano.”

Dylan Rice
Dylan Rice There
are few singers in today’s multitudes of rock acts with a voice as distinctive, layered, and emotionally exposed as
Chicago's Dylan Rice. Growing up an outsider in the blue laws of Utah, Dylan overcame his Episcopalian choir-boy desolation
by clinging to his Fender Strat and reveling in the moody Brit-pop of crooners like Morrissey, Dave Gahan, and Peter Murphy.
The release of his debut "Wandering Eyes” captured critical praise in local and national media, making The Advocate’s
"Top 10 Indie CD's" list and winning an Outmusic Award for "Best Debut Recording."
Dylan eventually caught the attention of Columbia Records, which chose his song "The Lie" for the "Music With
A Twist: Revolutions" (2007) compilation, alongside The Gossip, Sarah Bettens, and Ivri Lider.
Riding on the
creative momentum of "Wandering Eyes," Dylan has teamed up with producer Blaise Barton (Bob Dylan,
Liz Phair) for the follow-up CD, "Electric Grids & Concrete Towers," (2009). Featuring collaborations with Wilco's
John Stirratt ("Motel Daughters"), Polish jazz chanteuse Grazyna Auguscik ("Eggshells & Landmines"),
guitarist Dave Mendez, and jazz-inflected drummer Larry Brown, "Electric Grids & Concrete Towers" traverses
a range of literal and emotional landscapes: from the gay underground in Papal Rome...to tragicomic laundry workers in an
Interstate 80 Nevada motel.

Jen Porter
Jen Porter Jen Porter is an
acclaimed Chicago singer, songwriter, entertainer, and a daughter to a preacher and Girl Scout leader. Growing up with
parents who inspired people in the pews and around the campfire, Jen has stoked a fire in the bellies of thousands of fans
with her irreverence, passion, and strong smoky voice. She’s been voted Chicago’s favorite local musician
by readers of the Chicago Free Press. Critics often compare her live-show energy to that of Janis Joplin, her piano style
and voice to Natalie Merchant, and the intensity of her song-writing to Fiona Apple. Closer to the Surface, Jen’s fourth album, is a significant step
on her musical journey. For this fourth effort, she brought on Grammy-nominated producer, Chris Steinmetz of Stonecutter Records.
Steinmetz discovered her during a gig at Chicago’s Underground Wonder Bar and asked her to be part of his Acoustic Chicago,
a compilation of the city’s finest musicians. Steinmetz has an impressive 20-year track record that includes work with
Kanye West, Jay Z, Feist, Tori Amos, Kiss, and Smashing Pumpkins, to name a few. “Jen Porter is a powerful performer
who can bring down the house with her high energy,” he says.
