Congress of Starlings
Known primarily for gorgeous vocal harmonies and stellar songwriting, Aerin Tedesco & Andrea Bunch do not settle for the standard folk stasis of guitar and voice. Instead they employ a wide palette
of sounds and instruments from Aerin's ever-present tenor guitar to Andrea's computer generated tones. Their live show ranges
from traditional acoustic folk to laptop tinged anti-folk and back again.
Chick Point
We are a Chicago based group of seven musicians/vocalists (Ivy, Mikhail, Holly, Leala, Cheryl, Melissa,
Sharon and Mai) who get together in basements and hot apartments to make music together. Our interests in music are as different
as we are so there is bound to be at least one song that we do that makes you grin big. (I mean, doesn't our name, “Chick
Point” just bring a smile to your face?) We got to know each other by taking classes at the Old Town School of Folk
Music in Lincoln Square where all of us played in
a women's rock ensemble which was born again by the one and only Shelley Miller. A few of us continue to play in that group
today. We still had a lot of rock pent up inside us, and hence, the formation of Chick Point where we have an outlet to shake
our stuff, get our spank on, and oh yeah, bring you the rock!!!

Hey There Cowboy
HEY
THERE COWBOY formed in May of 2007. Lisa Ganser and Justin Cowboy were in the band Central Standard, which had just disbanded
the month before. Eric Frame was interested in bringing a style influenced by his alt country, classic rock and folk background
(while staying in well established FGAFJAL). Guitarist Zach McNulty (who plays
in 5 bands) was interested in being in a band where he could play guitar rather than drums. Zach had a specific sound in mind,
and he was looking for an outlet for the “melodies in his head” (medications weren't helping). Once they started
playing together, Eric and Zach had a great rapport and took turns with chords, lead, and intricate guitar parts. Rounding
out the lineup is Antoine Cowboy on bass. Hey There Cowboy has toured the Pacific NW and played Queeruption in Vancouver
BC, Canada. They’ve
also played at Queer Fest Midwest and Ladyfest in October 2007. Hey There Cowboy’s new songs in have a very listener
friendly pop/punk crossover classic rock sound. Hey There Cowboy has plans for a full length recording at the Zombie House
in May 2008, and a tour after that.

Your Host--Gary Airedale
Born in London and tempered on Chicago's South Side, Gary Airdale brings his special brand Rock and
Roll to you once a month at The Flesh Hungry Dog Show. Mr. Airedale knew he was destined for a career in rock and roll
when at the age of ten he was suspended from school for tossing the record player out the window in 4th grade music class
exclaiming "THIS IS BULLSHIT" when the music teacher attemped to play Neil Diamond.

Mercedez Ben
Mercedez
Ben’s DJ sets at the Jackhammer are a ballsy mix of bad-ass beats and classic cuts, spanning a broad range of musical
styles from rock, funk and punk to electronica and hip hop. When he’s destroying your Mom’s old LPs, you’re
bound to hear a song you forgot about, but don’t be surprised if you also hear a tune you can’t quite pin down.
Ben’s been developing his eclectic mixing style since the mid-90’s rave hey days playing to parties packed with
disco dreamers and techno enthusiasts. He’s torched dance floors on two continents and played alongside several
techno and house luminaries, which he feels makes him sound very important. These formative experiences and accompanying
rewiring of his brain circuitry laid the groundwork for the enlightening and terrifying experience that is Mercedez Ben.
Currently, Ben lives with his cats and a roommate in Rogers Park. He makes guest appearances at Chicago
clubs, parties, weddings and brises for a small fee and cold beer.
