We Believe in Transparency With very rare exception, we
charge $10 for tickets. We can charge more if warranted. As of Fall 2008, average attendance with local bands is about
100 people. Highest attendance we had was April 2008 (our 3rd anniversary show) at 250 people, but we had some GREAT
local acts that have proven draws. We have online ticketing capabilites and can provide your band and fans with a special
code when buying tickets online to be sure you get full credit for the tickets you sell online.
Here's
how the money works...The venue pays for some advertising and for the
sound engineer. The Flesh Hungry Dog Show keeps 25% of the door to pay expenses which include graphic design, posters, other
promotional materials, and the dj. The remaining 75% of the door is divided between the bands based on their draw.
Bands need to consider that we're all in this together, and the object is to get as many people there for their
benefit, the benefit of the show, and the venue. It's less about how we divide up the pie, than how we together
can make as big a pie as possible so everyone's piece is bigger. I like to find a way to make it a win-win
situation for everyone within the limitations of our smaller venue. Other financial arragements may be possible on a
case by case basis.
