Cobalt and the Hired Guns
Cobalt & the Hired Guns is Chicago's most enthusiastic, genre-fusing, syncopated rock-pop
show to hit your face ever. This band is about love and guts, about energy and emotion, about smiling. Leave the drama at
the door and come have some fun.

| Bric-a-Brac |
Bric-a-Brac
The definition of Bric-a-Brac
is "miscellaneous curios" and true to their name, Bric-a-Brac covers the world of little known songs found on thrift
store records and B-sides of singles giving them a fresh sound for today's NOW audience. Rock, folk, pop and
lounge are blended into a velvety sonic soundscape using a variety of instruments including violin, vibes, and vocal harmonies
to create what 60's poet icon Rod McKuen called 'an amazingly large sound'. Bric-a-Brac has been heard
on NPR's This American Life and has performed at such diverse venues as the Park West, Old Town School of Folk Music, North Shore lawn parties, Southern Illinois weddings and smoky saloons.
2008 marks Bric-a-Brac’s 10th year of performing.

| Gwen Mitchell Experiment |
Gwen Mitchell Experiment
WARNING: Gwen
Mitchell Experiment is the most inventive music you have never heard before! Gwen and her band are an original jazz-infused
sound emerging in Chicago
after years of having built a strong foundation touring throughout the Midwest. Choosing to lay roots in this musically rich region, new audiences are already receiving them with as much
enthusiasm as they bring to each show. Their quirky performances lead people
through cabaret to fusion with humor and intellect and this, blended with an air of whimsy has earned them an addicted following
so early in their career. The band's lyrical approach to God, culture, and self
does not overshadow the physical humor and refreshingly open stage presence that they bring to their audiences. In short, they infuse the drama with laughter and the silly with sensibility. If swallowed, do not induce
vomiting.

Your Host--Gary Airedale
Born in London and tempered on Chicago's South Side, Gary Airdale brings his special brand Rock and
Roll to you once a month at The Flesh Hungry Dog Show. Mr. Airedale knew he was destined for a career in rock and roll
when at the age of ten he was suspended from school for tossing the record player out the window in 4th grade music class
exclaiming "THIS IS BULLSHIT" when the music teacher attemped to play Neil Diamond.

Mercedez Ben
Mercedez
Ben’s DJ sets at the Jackhammer are a ballsy mix of bad-ass beats and classic cuts, spanning a broad range of musical
styles from rock, funk and punk to electronica and hip hop. When he’s destroying your Mom’s old LPs, you’re
bound to hear a song you forgot about, but don’t be surprised if you also hear a tune you can’t quite pin down.
Ben’s been developing his eclectic mixing style since the mid-90’s rave hey days playing to parties packed with
disco dreamers and techno enthusiasts. He’s torched dance floors on two continents and played alongside several
techno and house luminaries, which he feels makes him sound very important. These formative experiences and accompanying
rewiring of his brain circuitry laid the groundwork for the enlightening and terrifying experience that is Mercedez Ben.
Currently, Ben lives with his cats and a roommate in Rogers Park. He makes guest appearances at Chicago
clubs, parties, weddings and brises for a small fee and cold beer.
